Born from Vision, Built for the Future
JGC is a sister concern of the Jolshiri Abashon project, a smart residential city envisioned to redefine urban living in Dhaka. First conceptualized in 2010, the golf course evolved from an ambitious 18-hole plan into a refined 9-hole layout due to land considerations, with groundwork beginning in 2019.
In 2021, internationally renowned golf course architect Paul Jansen of Jansen Golf Design & Construction led the design, supported by Brig Gen Salim Akhtar (Retd), BP. Their combined expertise shaped a course that balances playability with strategic depth.
The foundation stone of the clubhouse was laid in April 2023, marking a key milestone in its development. Following a successful maiden tee-off tournament in December 2023, the course was officially inaugurated in June 2024, signaling its readiness to welcome the golfing community.
Maj Gen AKM Rezaul Mazid, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc served as the founding President of the club from Nov 2022 to Jul 2024, playing a pivotal role during its formative phase. His commitment to excellence and structured development helped steer the club through its early milestones, fostering a culture of discipline, inclusivity, and sporting integrity that continues to define its identity today.

Set across approximately 55 acres in the undulating Rupganj landscape, the Jolshiri Golf Course is a par-36, 9-hole course stretching 3,171 yards for men and 2,705 yards for women. It offers a dynamic test for golfers, featuring tight fairways, fast greens, meticulously maintained bunkers, and tree-lined challenges.
The presence of the Balu River adds both beauty and complexity, making each round a memorable experience. Whether for amateurs or seasoned players, the course delivers a pure and engaging form of the game.

Under the leadership of Major General Md Hasan Uz Zaman, ndu, afwc, psc, M Phil, President of the club, JGC is guided by a team of experienced professionals, including serving and retired military officials and industry experts. Future Facilities
A proposed infinity-edge swimming pool and night golfing facilities are set to be introduced very soon, transforming the course into a true multipurpose destination. Night golfing will allow players to squeeze in a round after work, adding a unique atmosphere that isn’t available during the day. The beautification of the riverbanks will create iconic views that become the club’s calling card, attracting both high-profile tournaments and premium members. A lush and well-maintained riverside will provide a natural breeze, making the course significantly more comfortable for players during humid afternoons.
