The Tiger Golf Club (TGC) hosted its Winter Pitha Party 2026 on 7 February at Kurmitola Golf Club, bringing together diplomats, members, and guests for an afternoon celebrating Bangladesh’s rich cultural heritage.
The event featured a wide variety of traditional pithas, accompanied by lively folk music that added warmth and vibrancy to the gathering. TGC President H.E. Sarah Cooke attended the event, alongside ambassadors, diplomats, their spouses, and club members.
The programme was organised by TGC Spouses Leader Rumana Manzur with the support of other members, whose coordinated efforts contributed to the event’s success. The festive atmosphere encouraged many attendees to take part in traditional dance, creating an engaging and joyful experience.
Guests were treated to an assortment of local cuisine, including different types of pithas, cakes, and other delicacies. Held on the first floor of the Kurmitola Golf Club premises, the event ran from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The celebration concluded on a high note, leaving participants with fond memories of an afternoon rooted in tradition, culture, and community spirit.
