Tiger Golf Club (TGC) of Dhaka has successfully concluded a six-day international golf tour to Singapore and Batam, Indonesia, held from December 4 to 10, bringing together golfers, families, diplomats, and business leaders from multiple countries.
The tour, spanning six days and five nights, involved around 56 golfers and guests from Bangladesh, alongside international participants from Singapore, Indonesia, India, Manila, and Jakarta. The delegation departed Dhaka on December 4 and traveled first to Batam via Singapore.
The tour was organized under the leadership of the TGC Board, headed by President H.E. Sarah Cooke, with Vice President Brigadier General Manzur Quader (Rtd) and Directors Hafizur Rahman Khan, SM Rahman, QM Zahid, ASM Mohiuddin Monem, and Zahirul Islam.
The Board formed a dedicated Tour Committee comprising Brigadier General Manzur Quader (Rtd), SM Rahman, Zahirul Islam, Roksana Zarin, and Nasim Majumder.
H.E. Mitchel Lee, Chargé d’Affaires of Singapore in Dhaka, participated as Guest of Honor, while Millennium Tours and Travels of Singapore served as the official tour partner. TGC official Farzana provided secretarial support.
Special thanks were extended to Hafizur Rahman Khan, SM Rahman, Mohiuddin Monem, and Zahirul Islam for their continuous support throughout the tour. Two differently colored polo shirts for the two days of golfing were generously sponsored by Zahirul Islam, while caps were sponsored by Sharif Khan. Appreciation was also conveyed to TGC member Roksana Zarin for collecting gifts for the raffles and to Asma Mohiuddin for collecting gifts from Singapore. Special thanks were offered to X-Jatri and Shohiduzzaman for confirming round-trip tickets. The High Commission of Singapore in Dhaka and Minister Counselor (Golfer) Wahyo Riadi, along with the Embassy of Indonesia in Dhaka, were also acknowledged for their support in facilitating visas through ITCL.
Batam Leg (December 5–7)
In Batam, members took part in sightseeing and leisure activities, including visits to Kepri Coral Island, Batam City Centre, malls, and beaches. The competitive highlight was the tournament at Palm Spring Golf Course on December 7, followed by a prize-giving ceremony and raffle draw.

The Batam stay concluded with a social evening at the Marriott Hotel and a beach club gathering.
Singapore Leg (December 8–10)
The group traveled to Singapore on December 8 and stayed at the Royal Plaza on Scotts. On December 9, golfers competed at the Seletar Golf & Country Club, followed by lunch and an awards ceremony.

Following the tournament, 18 members attended a B2B business meeting at Enterprise Singapore, while other participants visited Sentosa Island.
The TGC delegation, led by Vice President Brigadier General Manzur Qader (Rtd), also held a courtesy meeting with senior Singaporean officials, including H.E. Derek Low, Non-Resident Ambassador of Singapore to Bangladesh, and H.E. Mitchel Lee. During the meeting, TGC presented crests, lapel pins, polo shirts, and its official magazine, Golf & Beyond.
Distinguished Participants
Notable participants included H.E. Heru Subolo, Director General at Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immediate Past President of TGC, accompanied by his gracious spouse Mrs Subolo; H.E. J.K. Lee, Ambassador of ASEAN Countries in Jakarta, accompanied by his gracious spouse Mrs Songlim Lee; Edimon Ginting, Head of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila; and Kedar Lele, Past Captain of TGC, accompanied by his spouse Shewta Lele (India). Other participants included Sajid Rahman (Jakarta) and Chameli Shaha, spouse of Prabir Shaha (England), among others. The group represented a diverse mix of diplomats, senior military officers, business leaders, bankers, consultants, and their families.
A Tour Marked by Unity
According to the organizers, the tour reflected TGC’s strong sense of unity, diversity, and family spirit, with active participation from members and their families. Cultural evenings, informal performances by members, and shared social activities added to the tour’s festive atmosphere.
The organizers also acknowledged registered members who were unable to join and expressed appreciation to sponsors, partners, and diplomatic missions in Dhaka for their logistical support, including visa facilitation.
In a concluding note, the Tour Committee recognized that some communication gaps occurred during the program and offered an apology while thanking all participants for their cooperation.
The Singapore–Batam tour marked another milestone in TGC’s international engagement, blending competitive golf, diplomacy, and people-to-people connections.
