Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has announced that it will resume scheduled flights between Dhaka and Male’ from 12 March 2026, restoring a route that was suspended in late 2024.
According to a statement published on the airline’s official Facebook page on January 1, the airline will operate the route twice a week, providing renewed connectivity between the two countries.
The airline also announced attractive return fares starting from USD 399, which include a 30kg baggage allowance.
The resumption of the Dhaka–Male route is expected to benefit travelers, particularly tourists and Maldivian expatriates, while strengthening air links between Bangladesh and the Maldives.
Sharing the news on his Facebook page, Bangladesh’s Ambassador to the Maldives, Dr Md Nazmul Islam, wrote, “Dhaka is a highly favoured destination among Maldivians for business, short-term visits, and as a transit hub for regional travel.”
Maldivian began operations on the Dhaka route on 15 November 2012.
